A private portal where clients see their project
Project updates, invoices and files used to live in email threads. Now a client opens one private page to see progress, costs, messages and files, and gets back in with just their email.

What was going wrong
Project updates, invoices and files lived in email threads. To find out how a job was going, a client had to ask. Files and decisions got lost in long threads.
Why it mattered
Nobody should have to chase for news about their own project. When the answer is spread across ten emails, things get missed on both sides.
What it changed
Each client gets one private page. It shows their projects and milestones with progress, what the work costs and which invoices are paid, their care plan, messages and shared tasks, and their files.
How they get in
A client types their email and gets a private link by email. There is no password. The link runs out after a while and I can cancel it, and the portal remembers their device until then.
The technical detail
What I built
- A private page for each client, inside B&P OS.
- Projects and milestones, with progress.
- Costs, invoices and what is still owed.
- The care plan, messages and shared tasks.
- Files, shown from the business’s own SharePoint.
- Sign in with an email link, no password.
How it works
Each private link is signed, runs out after a set time, and can be cancelled on its own. Everyone who asks for a link gets the same answer, so nobody can use the form to test who is a client. There is a limit on how often a link can be asked for. Internal notes stay private and never reach the client’s page. Files stay in the business’s own SharePoint. It runs inside B&P OS on Cloudflare (a company that hosts websites and apps).
Where it got to
Live as part of B&P OS. The sample on this page uses made-up data, so you can open every screen without seeing anyone’s real project.
